My Experience

My name is Matthew T. Smoot and I specialize in assisting buyers, sellers, investors, and renters throughout Baltimore County, Harford County, and Baltimore City  including, but not limited to the neighborhoods of Perry Hall Farms, Honeygo Village, Southfield of White Marsh, Devonshire, Deer Spring, Moore's Meadows, Forge Landing, Fallsbrooke Manor, Monmouth Meadows, Singer Woods, Canton, Todd Lakes, and Glen Angus to name a few.

I was born in Maryland and have been a resident of Harford County for the past twenty-eight years. I currently reside on a farm in the Forest Hill area. I graduated from John Carroll High School of Bel Air in 2002 and afterwards attended Harford Community College (HCC) also of Bel Air where I earned my Associate's Degree in the fields of Political Science and History and earned a seat in the National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, in 2004.

After completing two years at HCC I pursued the remainder of my undergraduate degree at Towson University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in 2006. Afterwards, I immediately re-enrolled at Towson University, in order to pursue my Master's Degree in the Social Science program. In 2006 I decided to join my father's company, Home Selling Assistance Platinum, and became a licensed Real Estate Agent. Together we acquired our new real estate company, Exit Realty Express, in January 2011 and partnered up with the already successful Exit Preferred Realty brokerage where I am team leader of The Exit Express Team

In July 2011 I successfully completed my broker's course at the Frederick Academy of Real Estate where I earned my real estate broker's license, which is the highest and most specialized license a Realtor® can hold throughout the state of Maryland.  Obtaining my broker's license has furthered my career in real estate and allows me to represent each and every client to the highest degree.  Knowledge is key to any professional's success and obtaining this license has provided me with the utmost comprehension to facilitate any real estate transaction.

I thoroughly enjoy assisting Buyers, Sellers, Renters, and Investors with all of their Real Estate needs and plan to continue working in this profession for the remainder of my life. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than to guide my clients with my expertise, experience, and hard-work to a successful closing.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, taking care of my pets, traveling, and meeting new people. If you ever have any questions regarding Real Estate, please feel free to contact me as I am always willing to help and offer any type of assistance I can. "Whatever it Takes" is my motto and I will do just that when it comes to assisting you with Selling YOUR home, Buying YOUR home, Investing, or helping YOU to find a Rental property.

Testimonials

Matt is an awesome agent; he was a pleasure to work with. I listed my home with Matthew in September and he was very informative and reassuring about the entire process. After a terrible experience in 2007 with another agency I was hesitant to begin the process again, especially with the state of the economy. Matthew went above and beyond to keep me informed and comfortable throughout the entire process. He also returned all calls and e-mails the same day. At the end of October I received two contracts on my home and he helpmed me make an educated decision about which to accept. Matthew was also present at all of the inspections during the selling process and kept close contact with the buyer's agent. We closed on the sale right before Thanksgiving. Matthew is an excellent agent and I was extremely happy with my entire selling experience. I will definitely refer him to friends and family and will use his services again when the need arises.
